It’s almost the new year, which means all of America will be “dieting” (read: pretending, or trying *really* hard, anyway. “Hey, give me a break.” And then they will take a break …) But do you know what that really means? Kirstie Alley is going to add to her recent growth of wealth, as she appears in new Jenny Craig commercials, slimmed down even (if slightly) more.

Personally, I can’t wait for the ads to see her progress. She is an icon for the large, a role model to—wait, she’s famous, so once she let herself go, a crew of professionals stood in to help her lose weight. And she gets money by pretending it’s just the “regular gal” diet-and-exercise, selling it to us all.

She’s getting in shape, which is of course in her true best interest. And when that happens, she’ll lose this form of income, but pick up new roles, undoubtedly, with even more (and positive) press. All’s good in the Fat Actress’s world. And that sends a message (if cloudy): people of any size can succeed in any medium.

It really is a jolly, dream of a world. Isn’t it?

Johnny Damon has hit us so hahd, I couldn’t stand to talk about it due to the fiery angah. Damon’s left Boston for those Damned Yankees. At first, I thought it would be a cruel revenge that he would have to lose his haiah. We thought his powah was in that haiah. Turns out he looks pretty cute with his new ‘do, and I was never attracted to him, before. Let’s hope his talent was lost with the scissor cut.

Damn him, damn him.

Kelly Osbourne looks like a before picture in an ad for teeth whitening. What Kelly should do, obviously, is use Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus. But she also needs to stay away from red lipstick. She should instead lean toward more fuschia-meets-rose shades—basically medium tones with a hint of a blue tint in them. If one has yellow teeth, never wear red lipstick (or drastically dark stains). A near-sheer or natural blush gloss is helpful to brighten the smile, too.

And the hair?! THE HAIR?!! And I don’t even have the time for the rest of that makeup.

I came upon this picture of Jessica Simpson shopping with her mom, Tina, in West Hollywood on Thursday. All I could think (forget divorce) was that I recognized Tina Simpson’s bag as the COACH Soho Suede Flap Satchel in Flint (light brown).

The color (nor the beautiful bordeaux leather) is not available on Coach.com, any longer, but a white Soho Leather Flap Satchel is available now, and black will be shortly (or in various stores).

So, I went right to the ‘Bay. Again, nada, but keep searching on eBay, if you really want this color, or change my search terms. New auctions and bargains (and fakes, beware) always pop up.

Tara! There are so many vulgar things to possibly say! All that needs to be said — and it needs to be said — is that we do not want to see your large, sagging breasts with — ok, I must say it — downward pointing nipples!

Why don’t you try a comfortable, lifting bra, like this Jockey Seamless Microfiber Underwire Bra? The store’s copy claims “cashmere-like softness feels amazing against your skin.” It will certainly be nicer than a plain ol’ tee. By the way, where’s your sense of “self-star?” Respect yourself! You need a rep boost, especially when it comes to this area; an area that needs a general boost!

The Alexander McQueen silk skull scarf is nothing new in celeb fashion and has been seen on everyone from the Olsen twins to Lindsay Lohan but here it seems Nicky took one look at Sienna “style icon” Miller and not only managed to reproduce the skull print but the leather jacket and the black bag too. Tut tut. You’d think if she was gunna steal anyone’s style it’d actually be someone with originality and not Kate Moss wannabe Sienna.

If you wanna get your hands on your own Alexander McQueen silk scarf, check out eBay for some great bargains. This “bidding” one’s low and ending soonest. And this auction has a low “Buy it Now.” They’re both going for incredible prices.
