Britney Spears gave back to victims of Katrina from her home state of Louisiana by treating dance student fans to a New Orleans style meal and a shopping trip to celebrate Mardi Gras, this Fat Tuesday. Nice!

Unfortunately, we can hardly see what Britney looks like in this photo (to judge or just entertain ourselves). I can say that she, again, looks a bit conservative. Britney, show us your boobs!

Hearing the name “Mariah Carey” is enough to give me a little nausea, but throw in the phrase “comeback” and I’m really feeling sick. The twit being called the “comeback queen” over some success recently pushes me over the top.

Now Mariah is in the news again, and there’s buzz over her plainly scoring a movie role (first one since Glitter, you see). She will be starring in Tennessee as a biracial waitress who sets out with her two brothers to find their estranged father, so he can help their littlest brother, who has leukemia. Did I mention she’s biracial? That is a very important fact I assume the studio heads want me to mention no matter what angle I take on announcing this.

“Because this character is interracial and struggles with all sorts of issues because of that, I thought she was perfect,” says producer, Lee Daniels.

Cause no one else can play a biracial girl (never mind which races, they say!) but a poor actress who looks plain ol’ white but mid-career turned straight around from acting white to portray herself as a ghetto diva.

Get out of the way between me and the bathroom!

This is the first official photo, published by UK’s Another Magazine, of singer Kylie Minogue since she recently completed her treatment for breast cancer. Entitled “Grey Gardens”, the photo was taken by her friend Katrina Jebb.

I find it to be hauntingly beautiful and seems to capture both her frailty and her strength simultaneously.

Kylie’s doctors have been optimistic and early reports state that her cancer treatment was successful. Rumor has it that she will make her first public appearance at Australia’s Commonwealth Games next month. I’m sure her fans around the world are rejoicing! Here’s to a speedy recovery, Kylie!

By now you know how I feel about Natalie Portman’s shaved head for V for Vendetta. I even hate her new pixie.

Well, MovieFone has an exclusive clip of the very head-shaving, controversial scene from the movie. I could barely stomach it. Still, if you’re excited about all the buzz (cut), check it out. Here’s a much nicer pic of the formerly-pretty gal. And if you’re worried about watching the movie, she has hair in at least some of it! And if you’re worried about future eye candy with brains, the ‘do is growing!

Here are Ashlee Simpson’s breasts laying (fairly) naturally. They are a bit smaller than we usually see them when in push-up bras. I thought I should point out this picture, from the cover of March’s Elle Magazine.

Britney Spears has been many things in her career (when she had a career). Since the marriage and motherhood and hickhood and unemployment … I’m wishing she would just put out records again. (Shock!)

Those were the days when she took gorgeous photo shoots, had wild, but put-together ensembles, and danced to her own mindlessly fun pop.

In some ways, it was better. Besides, I’m urging to make fun of her working-girl getups and techno-pop “music!” Let’s switch it up. Don’t shoot me for this opinion, it’s spur-of-the-moment, and probably fleeting.

He wasn’t young. He wasn’t pretty. Scandal did not follow him at every turn. But, Darren McGavin was one of my favorite character actors and I could not let him pass without some kind of tribute.

Probably best known for his hilarious portrayal of the father, or “old man”, in the holiday classic A Christmas Story, McGavin also starred in the TV series Kolchak: The Night Stalker and won an Emmy Award in 1990 for his guest appearance on Murphy Brown.

He was 83 years old.
