Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes say they are finally bowing to public pressure and will release photos their daughter ’shortly’.

There are many rumors swirling around as to where the photos will appear including a story that the pictures will be featured in a fall issue of Vanity Fair and the photographs will be shot by legendary photgrapher Annie Liebowitz.

But, again, this is all speculation at this point. The only thing that’s been confirmed is that we will see Suri “shortly”.

My question is, does anyone really care anymore? What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing the photos?

Lindsay Lohan has expressed a desire to go and entertain the troops in Iraq and says she has been trying to travel to the war torn country with Senator Hillary Clinton for a long time but that it “seemed too dangerous”.

But now, she says, even without Sen. Clinton, she is confident she can handle an Iraq trip on her own. “I’m not afraid of going. My security guard is going to take me to a gun range when I get back to L.A., and I’m going to start taking shooting lessons.”

Lindsay also expressed a desire to emulate one of the greatest sex symbols of all time by saying, “I wanted to do what Marilyn Monroe did (during the Korean War), when she went and just set up a stage and did a concert for the troops all by herself.It’s so amazing seeing that one woman just going somewhere, this beautiful sex kitten, who’s basically a pinup, which is what I’ve always aspired to be.”

Well, it’s good to have goals. So many of today’s starlets want to be just like Marilyn. Hopefully, without the depression, drugs and untimely demise.

I think the shooting lessons are a good idea, though. There’s nothing like strapping on an automatic rifle to perform a concert. And, she won’t have to leave her vast collection of bikinis at home either. After all, it’s hot in Iraq…

Britney Spears’ maternity fashions belong in a category all their own.

I mean, the pieces she puts together definitely show a creative side and a love for bright colors, right? At the very least, you can be assured that she is coming up with these outfits on her own and that no pesky stylists were involved.

Consider the first ensemble: a red baseball cap with a purple and yellow printed dress and white platform flip flops. The hat definitely adds an unexpected twist.

Or, ensemble number two: madras shorts with a sequinned tank and the same white platform flip flops. That’s definitely original.

I certainly would never have thought to put these things together…
