One of the top best-dressed at the 79th Annual Academy Awards was Jennifer Lopez. She shone on the red carpet even without a film to represent. Wearing a vintage Marchesa, Jen looked like a queen with gem strings adorning her chest.

Her hair was of the best as well. J Lo really looks best with a shorter style. One suggestion though is for her to put Frederick Fekkai Smooth Hair product on her tresses. No down ‘do is red-carpet ready without it.

Despite the fact that Jennifer Lopez won the Amnesty International Award for Bordertown, the film was not a smash at the Berlin Film Festival. As was reported after Thursday’s event:

“The first ominous signs came at the press screening on Thursday afternoon, when the film was booed by the audience […] There were boos during the official premiere on Thursday, and applause at the end was muted. Reviews in the German papers were hardly any more complimentary.”

Um, there were also reports of “frenetic laughter” during serious parts of the movie. Could it get any worse? No wonder Jennifer looks like she’s about to cry.

Jennifer Lopez was honored at the Women in Film’s Crystal + Lucy Awards, in LA on Tuesday night. “The Crystal Awards, established in 1977, are given to women who have helped to expand the role of women in the entertainment industry.”

I can see that, J. Lo has various business and entertainment ventures.

J. Lo’s husband, Marc Anthony, gushed over his bride, once more, and Jen, herself, was excitedly surprised. “Getting an award from other women is a tremendous honor. It kind of makes it extra, extra special.”

Geena Davis was awarded the Lucy award, named after Lucille Ball, for demonstrating the great qualities of the classic beauty and comedienne.

A new award, the Max Mara award, was added this year and given to Maria Bello. J. Lo wore a Max Mara dress to the event.
