I never realized how much I have in common with Mischa Barton until I saw these photos. It’s like we were separated at birth. But, don’t take my word for it. Judge for yourself with this compelling evidence.

1. Mischa shops at Whole Foods. Just…like…me. Go organic!

2. Mischa likes Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Wow, so do I! I can only assume she has a preference, as I do , for the albums circa 1973-1975. But still, it’s eerie. It’s like we’re sisters.

3. Mischa loves rockin’ the Madras shorts. Although I’m sure hers cost more than I make in a month, I have fallen under the spell of the hypnotic Old Navy TV spots and purchased a budget friendly, rather unhealthy dose of Madras for the summer season.

4. And finally, Mischa loves her some Mr. T necklaces. I pity the fool who doesn’t!

Oh dear. This is why celebrities need publicists to be present at all times. In the February issue of Allure, Mischa Barton looks back at her public appearances and gives thoughtful insights such as the one above. In another, she says:

“I love Oprah. She’s like this earthy, amazing woman. For some reason, you feel really small next to her.”

About the Race to Erase MS event, she thinks back:

“Tommy Hilfiger picked that dress for me, and it felt very cool and flappery. But I was like, ‘There’s no way I’m walking down the runway. You couldn’t pay me enough money.’ And they were like, ‘C’mon, it’s charity. Please. Tommy will give you the best dress.’ I was so happy when it was over.”

Mischa Barton, former star of ‘The O.C.’, has recently been announced as the newest face of the U.S. milk industry’s popular “Got Milk” campaign.

It seems Mischa Barton will not be a series regular next season of the floundering TV show ‘The O.C.’ Maybe it’s because the Gods of TV Production finally heard my prayers or perhaps Mischa got big headed and wanted to ‘pursue other projects’ ala Topher Grace of That ’70s show. Either way, I hope this means the show will focus more on Seth and Summer’s storylines next season.

In the meanwhile, it has been reported that a major series regular will be killed off in the OC finale. No word yet on whether it will be Marissa but a rep from Fox has said that Mischa will appear as a guest appearance next year.
