For all of you Hasselhoff fans out there (and who isn’t a fan of the Hoffenator), tune in to NBC tonight at 9p.m. for “America’s Got Talent” and see him judge the talents of others. Yes, that’s right, David “I’m big in Germany” Hasselhoff is a talent judge. In this seemingly updated version of the “Gong Show“, the Hoff, along with Brandy, Piers Morgan and host Regis Philbin weigh in on the star potential of a variety of acts such as singers, magicians and bird callers.
Here are some Hasselhoff bon mots:
On his role as a judge: He said he was “sweet” at first, but now demands talent and doesn’t “give anybody a break anymore.”
On giving a thumbs-down to an elderly woman who was “trying to call the birds.” :
“I laughed so hard I had to go under the table. I was crying, I put my hand up on the (elimination buzzer). I said, `Darling, the birds aren’t calling.’”
On why he’s doing the show: “I just came on the show and I said I’m going to have fun. And I’m not going to try to be witty, I’m not going to do anything, I’m just going to have fun.”
Excellent. I know I’ll be tuning in.
