I May Feel Bad for Paris

I know. I’m slightly crazy, but imagine that you’re told that you can go on house arrest and then they haul you straight back in. Look at her crying! I don’t like Paris, but I really don’t like looking at these pictures. According to People:

The heiress was taken from court screaming and crying on Friday after Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ordered her to serve the remainder of her entire 45-day sentence behind bars. “It’s not right!” Hilton, 26, said as deputies approached her in the courtroom. She also called out to her mother in the audience: “Mom!” Kathy Hilton, accompanied by Paris’s father Rick, answered: “Honey!” Hilton’s screams echoed in the courtroom’s internal hallway as she was escorted out. As the courtroom began to clear, Kathy draped her arms around her husband, who tried to console her.

You’re not crazy……Yes it would be hard to be taken back, BUT she put herself in this situation in the first place. Surely she could show some foresight (and self-preservation, if not regard for other people) and hire a driver if she’s been drinking; it’s not like she’s short on cash. She’s not a baby (chronologically); she can show some responsibility for her bad behavior. Any medical or withdrawal problems she is having can be taken care of in prison. “House arrest” in her case is hardly a punishment for consistently drinking and driving. Don’t worry about her - I’m sure she’ll be fine in the long run.

You’re absolutely right. She’ll be fine, and probably (as my parents would say) “wise up” quite a bit after this. I just hate to see someone look so pathetic.
