Janet Jackson in Child-Sized Blazer

Is Janet Jackson wearing designer for babies? Look at her! This is not about abs, which I’m not impressed with. No, it’s her boobs! They’re not squished in a flattering way. They’re like little oval shelves.
I only have the most obvious of suggestions here.
At least she has a Gucci belt.

I’m just confused. What is that neon pink thing between her breasts?

Is that her bra?

Geez, you would think she would get adequate support from the ingenious “blazer-as-bustier” concept.

It might have been attractive but a series of mistakes makes it horrid:
1. Perhaps her pose is screwing up the fit. Most clothing isn’t fit to a person with their hands in their back pockets and their elbows back. But I think that’s being overly generous to the designer to allow the pose as an excuse. Shouldn’t blame the model for a garment that doesn’t move.
2. The fit is horrible anyway. Did she buy this off the rack? If it was made for her the tailor/designer/seamstress whoever was not a professional. The darts for her breasts are not doing her any favors and are not flattering. The huge crumples on the sides are showing a lack of fit (arm position could be screwing that up but if so then it was built too restrictive in the shoulders. Arm movement shouldn’t pull a garment completely out of shape). A clean well fit line down the sides would improve the garment enormously.
3. Perhaps it was fit on her when she had the extra 20 lbs. Then she lost the weight and now that she thinks her belly is exposable again, she pulled it out of the closet and decided it was ok now without refitting it to her new shape. Could explain all of that extra material on the sides.
4. With such a body conscious cut away garment the designer should have built all the support into the garment, so an incorrect bra choice or no bra wouldn’t pull the garment totally out of shape. Either that or pick the foundation undergarments and tell the celeb that they must only wear that exact foundation with the garment or it will not look right.
If you are spending thousands on designer duds make them make it fit! That’s their job. If you found it a thrift store and love it. Take it to a quality tailor and get it fit before you wear it!
I know,… lots of excuses for a really bad jacket. I used to love Janet’s look. One of the only women that I ever found truly sexually appealing (I’m a gay man). And yes I can sew. That’s why I zero in on all the construction issues.
