Jon Stewart: Mr. Oscar?

Jon Stewart

So, the Academy Awards are airing on Sunday, March 5th. As we countdown to the ceremonies, I am, of course, looking forward to the red carpet fashions, but this year I’m also extremely excited about the host.

Jon Stewart is hosting the awards for the first time, as you all probably know, and I’m a huge fan of The Daily Show. I watch the show regularly and I can’t wait to see how the political, satirical nature of his comedy translates to the Oscar ceremony. Mr. Stewart has been labeled a Hollywood outsider and many are speculating about what he will bring to the Oscars.

What do you think of him as a choice for hosting these awards? Do you think he’ll have success? After all, it’s a tough gig. I’d love to know your opinion as well as any prediction you may have about the awards.
