Funniest Jon Stewart Oscar Quote

Well, I think the jury is still out on Jon Stewart’s success as an Oscar host, but early reviews I’ve seen have not been too favorable. I don’t really care what the reviews say. He’s still a funny, funny man.
I love his style of comedy and enjoyed all of his jokes and video clips, especially the lobbying for best actress spots. I laughed out loud at the Dame Judi Dench segment in which one woman declares, “Judi Dench took my eye out in a bar fight.”
But, the funniest quote of the evening had to be the following:
“I do have some sad news to report. Bjork couldn’t be here tonight. She was trying on her Oscar dress and Dick Cheney shot her.”
That’s classic Jon Stewart. And that’s why I tune into The Daily Show every night.

that cheney dig was the only thing i laughed at the entire night! apart from charlize’s dress… but i guess it was less laughter and more horror really.

I completely agree with you on Jon Stewart, the reviewers that didn’t like him must all be older and at least partly boring people.
Jon Stewart specializes in ‘its funny cause it’s true’ and I spent the whole show waiting for his segments. His dig at George Clooney’s dating record was hilarious, and his dig at hard-hitting reporter stories being period pieces was spot on.
He made my night.

I loved him as the Oscar host!! I had already posted that he was funny because what he said was true.
But I kind of liked the joke about Three 6 Mafia:
“Scorsese: 0,
Three 6 Mafia: has one!!!”
I reeaaally loved that he mentioned that Three 6 Mafia was more excited than the actors.

Three 6 Mafia were the only excited people in the building! Everyone else was so reserved.
