An automobile ad starring Kim Cattrall playing her Sex and The City alter ego, Samantha Jones, has been banned in New Zealand.
In the ad for Nissan, Samantha is heard telling a car salesman: ‘Why didn’t you tell me it was so big, I just wasn’t prepared for it?
And after her test drive she exclaims, ‘Ah! That was amazing. Absolutely fabulous! I mean the great body and the way you moved it.’
After the ad aired, Nissan received a lot of negative response via their Advertising Standards Complaints Board, and decided not to air the ad again.
‘We made this decision in the interest of self-regulation and in response to public feedback,’ said a spokesperson.
I guess New Zealand was just not ready for Samantha Jones.

Cattrall can pull it off, but I’m still fighting ESPY flashbacks. On the plus side, love the shoes, Kim. [...]
