Is Madonna Too Old for H&M?

Recently, Madonna signed a deal with H&M to be the face of their Autumn 2006 collection.
Since then, there have been some who claim that the 47-year-old pop star is too old to model for the store, whose customers are mainly younger women.
Advertising expert Jerry Della Femina explained: “These kids trade in stars every two or three years, and many don’t know Madonna.”
Is there really anyone out there who doesn’t know Madonna??
Madonna’s spokesperson replied to the comments by saying, “I defy any 18-year-old to do a quarter of what Madonna does on stage. I hope Jerry Della Femina takes a nice pill.”
Well, what do you think? Is she too old?

Age has nothing to do with it. She is an icon and still pretty fit for her “age”. I doubt there are many young girls out there who don’t know who she is.
