Naomi Watts in Givenchy at the Oscar Wards 2006

Oh dear. That bloke made a comment about anyone not thinking Naomi Watts is stunning must be blind should offer his advice to Naomi. Whoever thought that this dress is stunning is clearly the one in need of Lasik. I know these stars have big teams that help decide what they should wear but ultimately it’s down to them and clearly Naomi has let her recent King Kong success delude her into thinking she could actually pull this hideous Givenchy dress off. The top part of the dress is almost excusable but the skirt is too much puff and too many layers in not a good way. Naomi should stick to slinky, form fitting dresses that show off her body in an elegant way.

really? i think the bottom makes her look short and fat because it’s too poufy and the dress is cut down at the hips as it is. the top part is a bit heavy looking but at least the one strap shoulder gives it something.

It is cut oddly, but I love the fabric. Really, the bad part is the low hip-waist. Yet the top has that huge flower. The worst part is probably that it doesn’t fit in at her waist or pull her in at the waist.

she doesn’t give a damn what you or anyone else thinks. do you dress to please others? she has to do what the director wants in films, but not on the red carpet, which she does not like anyway.
if all you see in a beautiful woman is her dress, then that’s your problem. She just won the british magazine tatler’s 2d best dressed woman in the world. as the magazine says, “This British-born actress brings natural grace to the red carpet. One of the few screen stars who doesn’t need a stylist to tell her what to wear.” the l.a. times said the real disgrace is that no one is willing to take chances for fear of disapproval. watts is too old to worry about it anymore.
is it my favorite? no. but it is close to what she wore as Beauty in kong. but no one bats 1000. she was still gorgeous.

hahaha i love how much i wind people up with this site. it’s hilarious how aggravated people get. of course naomi doesn’t care what little old me thinks about her dress, but clearly you do.
