Celebutante Paris Hilton has ended her engagement to Greek Shipping Heir, Paris Latsis.

Following weeks of speculation that their relationship was on the fritz, Hilton gave a brief statement to Us Weekly Friday announcing she and Latsis have scuttled wedding plans.

“I’m sad to announce that I’ve called off my engagement. Over the last couple months I’ve realized that this is the right decision for me. We remain best of friends, and I’ll always love him,” she said. “I hope people will respect my privacy during this emotional time.”

Respect her privacy, I will. But I also recognize this may be the last time for me to make such jokes and puns as these. To throw it all together in one last-ditch effort:

- His and Her, Heir and Heiress Pair, Paris and Paris are sparing the public from bearing their embarrassing, rare same name affair.

Ohh, I’m sorry for that.

- Paris has split from Paris, and may have to return to her first love; herself–this time literally.

- Horn-dogs can again dream of one day visiting Paris.

- Too good to be true? Two peas in a mansion-pod, Paris and Paris, were possibly just too alike to make it work.

- Trouble in her housewife-hopes Paris-dice led to a break-up that may force Hilton back to reality.

Feel free to make up your own–as corny as they may be! The effort will be appreciated.

   I know. I know. I know.
   They called it quits because they couldn’t fit their heads into the same mirror.
   Or no, maybe they called it quits when Paris realised that Paris wasn’t a girl.
   Or they called it quits because they got confused about who’s name to call out during sex….
   Thank heavens.
