Pirates of the Caribbean Sets New Record

July 10th, 2006 at 4:11 pm by HeidiGoLightly » Bookmark on del.icio.us » Digg It?

Johnny Depp

“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” took in a record $132 million in its first three days, according to studio estimates.
“Pirates” sailed past the previous all-time best debut set by “Spider-Man” in 2002, which took in $114.8 million in its first weekend.

Now, from what I’ve read this movie is not supposed to be very good, but I usually don’t trust the critics much anyway.

Plus, it has Johnny Depp in it. And, what can I say? I’d pretty much go see Johnny Depp in a film where he reads the newspaper for two hours. So, needless to say, I’ll be seeing the film this week.

Has anyone out there seen it yet?
