Priorities Not so Divine for 7th Heaven Family

The father’s a minister and the parents “raise their children right.” They teach the kids not to have sex before marriage (oh, that works, well) and forbid sensible things such as moving in with a significant other before making the ultimate commitment of marriage.
Fine. Teach your children that, if you do it well.
But this is what Simon did to get his parent’s approval of his situation, he proposed to his girlfriend. He asked her to marry him. Obviously, we see a problem, but it’s something else I’m more concerned with in this post chatter; he bought a ring. People, Simon is poor, and you know how he said he paid for it? Well, to quote, “I don’t have money, but I have credit.”
Ahhh! Credit Cards are more dangerous than that red “war” button in the oval office. His parents didn’t teach these kids the ACTUAL sensibilities of life and the real ways of the world. What’s worse, is he is going to start off his marriage and family buy buying a rock, setting them off on a rocky path. This new family is going to have to struggle to get by, surely.
The girl (Eve from Angel, sidebar)? She’s no good, herself, asking Simon, “that center stone’s a full carat, right?”
*chuckle* Good luck, Simon!
(What else is on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST?)
