Sarah Jessica Parker’s Disastrous Plaid

Holy haggis Batman, this is one heck of an ensemble. This hurts me. It really does.
It actually reminded me of an episode of Sex and the City. Only it was Charlotte wearing the Scottish MacDougal tartan dress, not Carrie. I miss Sex and the City…

This is so bad, it goes beyond further joking. So I will just say that the dress would be lovely without the plaid overlay.

There is a time and a place for tartan. This is neither.

Jenners, I did not know there was a time and place for tartan. When and where would that be? =)

It’s almost like she couldn’t decide whether she wanted to be a bagpipe player or a Vera Wang model, so she decided to be both!

Tartan can be beautiful. In coats, done well in skirts, scarves, floppies.
I think of tartan as the “nice” word for plaid, for the nicer plaids.
I think of this dress as not really being tartan. More throw blanket or, of course, kilt.

A tartan is a specific pattern and set of colors that identify Scottish families. The tartan is usually worn as a kilt or over the shoulders. This tartan is my family’s colors. Plaid is a scottish word for blanket, but it can refer to a tartan.

Well, it does look like a blanket. Like the wrong thing over her shoulders.
(Love your family’s tartan in school skirts.)
