Tom Cruise Insists Katie is Not Depressed
May 25th, 2006 at 12:52 pm by HeidiGoLightly » Bookmark on del.icio.us » Digg It?This past week, several news outlets claimed that Katie was “constantly in tears” since giving birth to her daughter Suri last month, and speculated that she could be suffering from post-partum depression.
Tom Cruise, however, has denied these reports and his publicist has released a statement saying, “Those reports are not true. Ms Holmes is doing wonderfully.”
Now, if Katie is experiencing some post-partum depression, I think we all know what course of action will be prescribed for her. Tom’s view on the treatment of post-partum depression is well known. “You can use vitamins to help a woman through those things.”
Hmm…
Maybe Tom is right and Katie is not suffering from post-partum depression after all. Maybe she’s suffering from the kind of depression where you realize you’ve made a terrible mistake and you just had Tom Cruise’s baby and are now trapped in the Fortress of Scientology mansion with him monitoring your every move. I don’t think there are enough vitamins in the world to fix that kind of depression.
That’s why I’m hoping the latest round of gossip is true and Katie has taken Suri back to Ohio, without Tom, to introduce her daughter to her side of the family.
