Are the words in your song true? Does this describe your personality? No, you’ve been taken over by The Celebrity. That persona is so mundane, contrary to what the shining image might have one think. When one becomes somebody, she turns into a nobody.
You’ve changed so much, and now you’re in full costumed punk. It doesn’t suit you. It’s been done so hard, it’s copyrighted, trademarked, packaged and sold. Remember when you looked like this?
Granted, you had a sweet little punk-esque thing going in your Lizzie McGuire days, but you’d long since abandoned that for Tart and Middle Aged. Who are you, Hilary’s style, and when will you come into age? Your look has never actually been appropriate. I’m glad to see you in a nice t-shirt, and even those stockings, for you look like the child that you really still are, and that’s fine.

This is so true! I used to be the biggest fan of Hilary’s but now it’s like who is she? The lyrics in “Wake Up” are true yet not true. Everybody thought they knew her, but obviously, they don’t. Yet again, did anybody ever think they knew her?
When I heard “Wake Up” on Disney Channel for the first time, I thought that the song sounded kind of whiny. It sounded like she was complaining to me! I don’t like celebrity’s who are always complaing about their life when people think they know them and they don’t because that’s what happens when you get into show biz so get used to it!

Umm, how do you people even know what her personality is? You are are the people she is talking about in her song. You are talking about her, you don’t really know what she is like! Maybe her personality is really described in “Wake Up”. So you need to stop talking about her because what if she was forced to look all “bubble-gum pop princess” in Lizzie McGuire, when she always wanted to look the way she does now? Ever think about that?

I’m sorry, I don’t know Hilary, or any of these celebs (and neither do you). But the song is lame, and the personality coming from it is cookie-cutter party-celebrity-young-girl AND so bubblegum, in fact!
She looked like a cute and stylish (making fashion experiments) young lady on Lizzie McGuire.
And it’s great that she has a grown-up sense of style, or her professional stylist does *laugh*. But this is a sick, sad world, and she’s looking too *good* for her own good.

First of all, Wake up is not a song talking about how people will not leave her alone…It is talking about the pressure that people give her and that fact that indeed no one relaly knows her but there is alot of negativity and pressure on her. Its not meant to be complaning is is meant to be a message to show that you can forget your problem and wake up and have a good time. That is wut the song is about…and I think Hilary fashion in the video is really good. She looks great…really mature. ALso I think the song is a good change and the new material on Most wanted is acutally really diffrent. Listen to Superigirl and Break my heart. Not normal Hil music..I am glad she took a chance…that why I liked the Hilary Duff album..and these new songs fits that range!

Hey,
well i am a huge fan of hilary, but has any one noticed how thin she has been getting lately? I saw her on ET and she looked really thin.
About “Wake Up” i think the song is awsome. The lyrics are a bit, well, on the lamer side of things but they still put a messege out there. I think its a great accomplishment of hers to acctually make it this far.
And all i can say is she is doing a hell of a lot better then Lindsay Lohan who is being bagged endlessly by almost everybody!
